As a young man and just getting started there was much to learn. It was overwhelming and there was little guidance on how to proceed. I was ill prepared to face the world. Now I realize that the Bible has much to offer in the way of wisdom. I wish I had realized and applied myself sooner to the life lessons contained in His word. I hope the experiences I share might help others have a more joyful and productive relationship with God.

The above picture is my feet at the top of a sand dune. The trek that day was only about 1 mile but it felt remote. Temperatures were in the 90s so not as hot as it can get. Something you would not know from this picture is there is about a 60 foot sheer drop behind me and I am afraid of heights. I was viewing the rolling dunes and mountains surrounding me. It is a beautiful place. Even though I was completely alone, the presence of God was almost overwhelming. It was as if He had created this incredible spot for me to come meet with Him. Was I getting a little glimpse of what heaven will be like? I never want to forget this moment.
